Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Osidio Inc. ("RaiseTheNorth", "we") handles information when you use raisethenorth.ca (the "Service"). Questions? Email hello@raisethenorth.ca.
Information we collect
- Browsing the directory. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used to run and secure the site.
- AI Investor Match. The pitch text, website URL, and/or PDF deck you submit. We process it to extract structured signals used to rank matching investors. It is stored in a short-lived session that is automatically deleted about two hours after creation.
- Warm-intro finder. If you use it, your LinkedIn Connections.csv is parsed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded. Only the single connection you choose (to draft an intro message) is sent to our server, and only for that request.
- Submissions log. To operate and improve the Service we keep a record of companies run through the match — company name, website, a short description, and which input types were used.
- Community fund edits. If you submit an edit to a fund page, we store your email address and the changes you propose in order to verify and review them.
Cookies
We use only functional cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in to the admin/editor area, and a session identifier for the match flow. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics
We use a privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics tool that is cookieless and does not collect personal data or track you across other websites.
Service providers
We share limited data with providers that help us run the Service:

Data retention
Match sessions are deleted automatically about two hours after creation. Submission and fund-edit records are retained to operate the Service. You can request deletion of information associated with you (see below).
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you by emailing hello@raisethenorth.ca. Depending on your location (for example under Canada's PIPEDA or the EU/UK GDPR) you may have additional rights; we will honour applicable requests.
Fund information
The investor profiles in the directory are compiled from publicly available sources and our own enrichment. They describe organizations, not individuals in a personal capacity, and are provided for informational purposes.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
